When getting my nails done by Jackie "which I figured would come out perfect b.c she is boss lady" they came out horrible !!! I felt ignored, she burned the hell out of my hand a few times , didn't bother to clip my actual nails b4 putting the gel acrylics on the paint job was sloppy and I don't think she even put a top coat on after, also pretty sure she forgot I was even there when she disappeared for 20 mins or so.. when it was done I expressed to her my concern with how they looked and she said "they look good far away" I didn't just pay u 50$ for them to look good far away , which they don't... bad customer service I will take my business to someone who cares and takes pride in their work!
However, the reason I decided to give this place a try today .. was because I received a promotional coupon in the mail for a $26 mani/pedi. The coupon stated that it is only valid Monday-Wednesday and it also states on the coupon that it is for college students only and you must present a valid college ID in order to receive the discount.
I've been a client of Essance Nails for many of years now. I would highly recommend them, and would not think about going anywhere else. They keep the salon very clean and all of the employees are very friendly and are professional.
I went to this nail salon today for the first time for a mani/pedi. The mani/ pedi service (and the lovely woman who performed this service for me) were perfectly fine and I would have had nothing but great things to say.
No where on the coupon did it state that you had to be 21 or under in order to receive the discount.
Pleasant staff.. N they do nails well.... enjoy the atmosphere ☺
It's always relaxing, and the service is excellent, and each person has their own unique way of doing nails. They are awesome.
If (for whatever reason) you decide to offer this promotional value to students 21 and under- you need to clearly state that on the coupon. Otherwise, I feel as if it's of discriminatory nature and is completely unacceptable. I will not be back.
I came in on a Wednesday and had my valid college ID on hand. I thought that these were fairly rigid requirements as it was- but I met both of these requirements and I was looking forward to the discount. I think it's a nice gesture when businesses offer discounts to people who are receiving an education because of how expensive college programs tend to run these days. However, when I presented my ID - the owner came over and looked at it and said "21 and under only- sorry".
I think that it's ridiculous to only offer discounts to college students that are under the age of 22. College students can range anywhere from 18 to any age imaginable. Anyone who is a college student at an accredited institution should be allowed to receive the same benefits as younger students.
